I'll try the flamouri soon. If I like it, I've hit the jackpot!

Maria, I read your post the other day but didn't have time to comment(kids + husband + dog...) I enjoyed reading about your adventure that day and how you "scored" your tilio. :) Have you tried it yet?Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07147148590536843781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-32105464296005790282008-06-06T23:27:00.000+03:002008-06-06T23:27:00.000+03:00i discovered tilio the other day - i posted about ...i discovered tilio the other day - i posted about it - and yes, you can drink it!Maria Verivakihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10440852486788630957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-75040754121532892462008-06-06T18:57:00.000+03:002008-06-06T18:57:00.000+03:00I'm a heavy tea drinker and I can tell you that th...I'm a heavy tea drinker and I can tell you that this kind of teac is not only excellent but very healthy as well. I decided that if I do an hour a day...for a about a week...I'll have enough for a while and to share. The problem is that Kosta pruned the trees because the branches were all so low...now I wish he wouldn't have cut so much because I think I need a cherry picker to get what I want off of these trees. Anyway, enjoy the flamour/linden/tilio trees when they blossom. The scent is awesome.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07147148590536843781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-45359878610148470762008-06-05T23:30:00.000+03:002008-06-05T23:30:00.000+03:00Yes, I read that today too. They haven't bloomed yet - looks like we're some weeks behind you all. I never saw them in Crete, maybe they need a colder winter or better/deeper soil (Crete suffers badly from erosion due to deforestation chiefly caused by livestock eating the saplings).

Anyway, I'll be clipping some of the flowers off this year for some tilio tea.Sydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02239734954908943760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-35214575700179921652008-06-05T15:54:00.000+03:002008-06-05T15:54:00.000+03:00It's interesting because I have never heard of it ...It's interesting because I have never heard of it until now and it has such great healing qualities.I only knew it was also called tilio when I was looking for more info on flamouri. I recently found out that it's abundant in France and that it's called "Linden" in English. I can't believe that I've never heard of it before. I'm really excited and have to start drying these flowers!Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07147148590536843781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-10527804645711426392008-06-05T15:37:00.000+03:002008-06-05T15:37:00.000+03:00Well, that's interesting.
