I don't like them in the house either, interesting experience but I hope that it's over!

Lulu-Lol! I know...I finally cleaned the ashes out today. Not afraid of birds or rodents, but it doesn't mean I want them in the house. :) He's kind of cute.CaliforniaKathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02604689834411117226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-79139589191597132142008-06-20T01:10:00.000+03:002008-06-20T01:10:00.000+03:00Maria, I've always wanted to see one also...outsid...Maria, I've always wanted to see one also...outside of a zoo that is. Now I have and it's cool but a little scary at the same time...the claws on them are huge. I finally saw the owl in the house tonight...my next post will be about it the encounter!

Mel, as I mentioned to Maria...I've always wanted to see one also and I finally saw one very close tonight. They're beautiful and so intelligent...but a little intimidating!
And-no, I couldn't imagine if people crapped as often as birds. Ick! And...how about as carefree? Double ick! :)

Philip, I think that Athena is probably one of my favorite goddesses. I can only hope that these owls will make us all wiser. If not, it's nice just to have them around.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07147148590536843781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-88234768423010561002008-06-19T20:30:00.000+03:002008-06-19T20:30:00.000+03:00As you know the owl for the ancient Greek goddess ...As you know the owl for the ancient Greek goddess Athina, was the symbol of wisdom and associated with prosperity, truth and patience.
Therefore, an owl in your yard is a good sign. I guess there aren't really enough trees right around our property for the owls. I love owls, always have - but I really wouldn't want one in the house.

Can you imagine if people used the bathroom as much as birds seem to? I don't know how I'd react if I would've been the one to find the owl on the curtain rod. I can write about it calmly because I wasn't the one to have it fly over my head. I think that it's still in the chimney right now, waiting for us to leave the room...because I heard noises. That's a little unsettling. Oh, and Gigi was sleeping in the house when our owl visited the other night...sleeping so heavy that she didn't seem to mind it in here...unless they have a pact.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07147148590536843781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6574444945294114193.post-43757055926449558552008-06-19T12:02:00.000+03:002008-06-19T12:02:00.000+03:00Isn't it funny. I live in complete harmony with the spiders, am not bothered by the lizards and occasional rodent who wanders in - but a bird in my house would totally flip me out. Totally.Sydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02239734954908943760noreply@blogger.com
