Rositta-I know how you feel, the love/hate thing. I really do try to enjoy myself as much as possible. Life's too short to spend it bitching at everyone all of the time! :P I live in my own bubble over here...ask anyone.
Maria, Nope...no rain. It's gloomy and chilly...dark clouds surround us on most days but no rain. We need it too! Christmas is just around the corner-that hit me yesterday. I have so much to do!!!!! Kali evthomatha!!
Gah - we left behind a spectacular October and have had only one day where it didn't rain all day. I was feeling masochistic so I checked the Crete weather the other day and it was 70 and sunny.
I'm looking quite forward to spring. I hope the winter passes as quickly as the summer did, but I'm not holding my breath.
Happy winter to you - maybe you'll get some of that exciting snow!
Hi Syd! Happy (& speedy) winter to you also! The weather was just gross yesterday, bleck. Today it's sunny but very cool. It's finally cold enough for Kosta to order the diesel! I hope that all of us have a mild winter. Although I love snow, I'm glad that I wasn't in WI last year, they had way too much. So, if we get one day of snow like last year that would be fine with me.
Hi Cheryl, I like that photo of the tables and chairs beside the thalassa. My sister in law in Retziki says the weather is still warm there. The colors of the autumn trees here in Tennessee are SO bright and pretty this year. Take care, Iosifina
Iosifina, thank you. I love eating near the thalassa! The weather has been warm but has cooled off today. It's finally raining! It just started a few minutes ago so we'll see how long it will last.
I really miss the autumn colors back home. I spent one autumn in Tennessee and I remember that it was beautiful. :)
i think i'm glad now that we dont have too much snow in greece - even those who live in countries with a lot of snow get sick of it eventually - let's enjoy the good weatehr while we can
Although I'm not here with the blog as much as I used to be, I'm still out taking photos of everything and now I'm addicted to Instagram...so follow ccingreece if you want to see what I'm up to!

Mucha gente entra en y sale de su vida a lo largo de los años. Pero solo los verdaderos amigos dejan huellas en su corazón...
Welcome!
I've been married to my Greek husband for 23 years and we have 3 children ages 10 & under. 6 years ago, we moved to Greece and I started this blog so that my family & friends at home could keep up with what we're doing. Remarkably, this blog has taken a life of its own and I've come to know some pretty amazing people so it's more than just a blog about my family, it's about sharing my experience with anyone that's interested in my frequent musings & photographs. Enjoy! :)

As much as I like living in Canada and wouldn't want to live in Greece, your pictures almost make me miss it...ciao

ReplyDeleteThis is a great picture Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you. Those nasty overcast skies. Even right down by the waterfront. With all that beautiful water right at your feet. Oh poor you. ;)
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
Philip-Thank you!
ReplyDeleteR- I know, it could be worse...but when it's dreary near the water the cold goes straight to my bones. I think that I heard violins...
At least you don't have snow...
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you're right. As much as I love snow...I'm glad that it doesn't snow much here. Do you have much yet? BRRR...just thinking of it.
