Cheryl, I wondered if you had some information, (this is not related to your fishes) and wasn't sure how or where to ask it, so I am placing it here (sorry if this is incorrect)... Have you blogged on how your kids transitioned into Greek school? like if they speak Greek (my daughter doesn't), behavior and attitude of teachers?
Lu, I believe that barbuni are called red mullet in the U.S. You can try to see if a Greek restaurant in your area might serve them. I've had them in Chicago before and they were probably imported. So, yes, you can have them in the U.S. :)
Although I'm not here with the blog as much as I used to be, I'm still out taking photos of everything and now I'm addicted to Instagram...so follow ccingreece if you want to see what I'm up to!

Mucha gente entra en y sale de su vida a lo largo de los años. Pero solo los verdaderos amigos dejan huellas en su corazón...
Welcome!
I've been married to my Greek husband for 23 years and we have 3 children ages 10 & under. 6 years ago, we moved to Greece and I started this blog so that my family & friends at home could keep up with what we're doing. Remarkably, this blog has taken a life of its own and I've come to know some pretty amazing people so it's more than just a blog about my family, it's about sharing my experience with anyone that's interested in my frequent musings & photographs. Enjoy! :)
