Maria, I know...it's been cold here too. And, I've been very, very ill. I hope that the weekend has a better forecast. Parastika! I hope that you all feel better soon!
This photo reminds me of before my husband and I were married and he took me to my first experience with Greek Carnival in Patras. We are trying to get into the spirit over here, the kids are to wear their apokreatiko costume to school tomorrow. :)
Belpana, It's everywhere! We're heading into the big weekend. Our kids have had to dress up twice thus far and once again for school tomorrow. Also, we have to do it all weekend. Have fun!
I don't know that it is a she, looks more he-like. The upper half is strangely disproportionate to the lower half. Quite disturbing, but that is what carnival is all about, right?
and yes, cheryl, there is so much waste in this world, and i'm so glad there are other people out there who understand the point i was making in my last post
thanks for making me feel better love the comment about having to bring in his mum because it;s "not his sort of thing"! i'm sure we could relate many of our own desperate housewives tales with our lovely greek husbands!
Although I'm not here with the blog as much as I used to be, I'm still out taking photos of everything and now I'm addicted to Instagram...so follow ccingreece if you want to see what I'm up to!

Mucha gente entra en y sale de su vida a lo largo de los años. Pero solo los verdaderos amigos dejan huellas en su corazón...
Welcome!
I've been married to my Greek husband for 23 years and we have 3 children ages 10 & under. 6 years ago, we moved to Greece and I started this blog so that my family & friends at home could keep up with what we're doing. Remarkably, this blog has taken a life of its own and I've come to know some pretty amazing people so it's more than just a blog about my family, it's about sharing my experience with anyone that's interested in my frequent musings & photographs. Enjoy! :)
