Spring is here and stray puppies are everywhere. I came across this family a few weeks ago. They've taken shelter under an abandoned truck. This bunch is lucky as they had food and water, so it appears as someone is caring for them.
What cute little puppies, I love their curled tails. I glad to hear that someone is caring for them. I hope they find a safe home. Cheryl, your picture is so touching, with the puppies, overgrown grass under the truck, and the garbage tossed on the ground around them. I have been known to complain about the humane society and all their rules, but they really are doing a great job, keeping us aware of the plight of dogs/cats. For example, the morning news had a seqment on shelter dogs available for adoption.
How are your puppies? I hope they are all well. I remember being followed by stray dogs all the time when I was island hopping in Greece many years ago. Spaying and neutering isn't really the thing to do there, is it? I never found any mean or aggressive dogs which is a good thing so I guess they are all cared for somehow. Take care, Angela

Mucha gente entra en y sale de su vida a lo largo de los años. Pero solo los verdaderos amigos dejan huellas en su corazón...
Welcome!
I've been married to my Greek husband for 23 years and we have 3 children ages 10 & under. 6 years ago, we moved to Greece and I started this blog so that my family & friends at home could keep up with what we're doing. Remarkably, this blog has taken a life of its own and I've come to know some pretty amazing people so it's more than just a blog about my family, it's about sharing my experience with anyone that's interested in my frequent musings & photographs. Enjoy! :)

scruffy puppies can be cute too!
ReplyDeleteThere are stray dogs because people won't neuter them. Instead they abandon them and poison them.
ReplyDeleteNo Angela they are not all cared for somehow. Neither are the cats. They are definitely not all cared for somehow.
