More traditional costumes
I spotted Elvis in the crowd!

The center of Kozani around 7:30am Sunday morning...another day to go!

  1. Wow, I think we're all coming to Kozani next that ok?? such fun!!

  2. the helicopter joke was the best part!!!!!!!!!

  3. Jude...let us know if you'll be in town! We'd love to show you around. :)

Maria-there were helicopters everywhere -the jokes and satire are always current.

  4. Did you asked 'Elvis' to sign a contract, as a powerful and aninfluential person you are, being the wife of the prime minister?

  5. Phivos...LOL! :) Nah...I'd rather work with writers.

  6. Cheryl, It seems so exciting and fun from your pictures! I have only been to one carnival in Greece and that was in Patra, I still have my small carnival hat that my husband bought me, I pull it out ever year for carnival! But it really can't compare to how you guys celebrated! It really looks like you guys had a great time, I love the look on Kosta's as he dances to the clarenet.

  7. Hi Cheryl,
    What a party!
Have you caught up on your sleep?
I'm sure the kids loved dressing up, do they get to wear their costumes year round? Frankie loves to dress up, hats, shoes, watches, purses, anything that's ours.
    Take care,

  8. Belpana, we did have a great time. It's one thing that's here that can't be compared to anywhere else. What I find the most enjoyable about the events here is that everyone is just out to have a great time...there isn't any animosity on the streets which is very refreshing. You have next year to look forward to!

Angela, Yes...quite a party. It took me about 3 days to feel better because I like my sleep!
My kids do dress up whenever they want- which seems almost daily. Izabella wore 4 different costumes for this season at various events. She was Belle, Madonna, a Native American and a ladybug. Foti was a Power Ranger, Anakin Skywalker and a Native American. Alexandra only wore 2...a ladybug and Little Red Riding hood. A lot of fun!

  9. BTW....the photo that I took at 7:30 in the morning was taken during one of Gigi's early morning walks...I hadn't gone out the night before. It was Sunday when I stayed out all night!

  10. I'm so into Alexandra's pink princess cowboy hat! I should get one of those!!!
