Chamomile

Spring is almost over and I feel that I haven't shared enough of its many wonders, although my camera is busy capturing them on a daily basis. This chamomile is growing freely in the fields around our home and I'm busy gathering and drying as much as I can before its season ends.

  1. Yes,I've been gathering too, I love chamomile tea.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding Jose. Early days, I still get glimpes of him ahead of us in the lanes around here, the mind is a strange thing!!!

  2. You're most welcome Jude. My heart truly aches for you. Yesterday, Asproula got out of our gate and I panicked because she went too far for my comfort level, all the while thinking of you and Jose. I was late for a coffee date because I had to get her back on our property so that I knew she'd be safe. If there's one thing that you can take comfort in, it's knowing that he had a fantastic life with you, he was happy-:) Kisses & hugs Jude.

  7. Sarah, Thank you...I think so too.

Phivos, That's very interesting-I'll have to research how to use is as a conditioner. Thank you for the link!

Maria, it does smell wonderful. I love spring!

Angela, yes- my kids love chamomile also. Today, Alexandra helped me put some of the dried flowers into jars so she's learning about where we get her favorite tea.

Biddy, Thank you! I had a very nice Mother's Day:)

  8. Hey Cheryl,
We are in Patras now. 5/14-5/28. I think you are about 7 hours away from us? We will be in Athens a day or two before we fly out. Do you want to meet up? Is it too far? Leave a comment on http://maltesekat.blogspot.com. That's where we are posting photos and updates.
    Take care,
    Angela

  9. I envy you being able to go out side and pick chamomile fresh from the fields!!! I've planted lavendar on my balcony, but now I'm thinking chamomile might be in store as well!

  10. Hello Ms. Diva!

It is really great to pick the chamomile from the fields. What's even better is that the kids love to help, so it's another activity to keep them busy.
I love lavendar, I brought some seeds back from the U.S. but haven't planted them yet. I hope that you can plant some chamomile, it smells so wonderful on a breezy afternoon. I hope that all is well with you, take care! :)
