What a difference...

an hour and a visit to the vet can make...

Before

I took this photo right before we dropped Gigi off for another haircut. Personally, I think that she's adorable this way, so fluffy and cuddly. But, she gets dirty quickly with all of that moppy cuteness. I have to pull burrs & other plant matter off of her constantly...she's definitely like a walking Swiffer.

After

Here she is, all clean & tidy...just like a princess dog that she is. She's so easy to keep clean this way although I feel sorry for her as the temperature dropped dramatically and she seems cold as she's been shivering. It's time to find her a new adorable sweater for the fall. And yes, I see that one hair out of place, I've snipped it off already:)

  1. Hi Cheryl,
She looks like a totally different dog! Both Gigis are cute. I can't wait to see pictures of her new sweater.
    Take care,
    Angela

  2. Angela,
She does look completely different & it's always fun to adjust to her new look. I love that I don't have to constantly clean the couch now that her long hair is gone!

  5. Phivos,
I agree, both before and after are cute. She's so cute and spoiled, can't imagine life without her.
    Have a fantastic weekend! :)

    Maria,

Her hair grows back way faster than I wish it did! And, it's white...that's how it gets a bit annoying. Have a great weekend! :)

    Liz,
She has quite an adorable personality, if you like spoiled dogs:) She's very particular and a bit whiny at times, but always lovable.
I hope all is well with you & your family! Have a nice weekend:)

  6. She looks adorable. So wide eyed and alert.
My Dad hardly takes their dog to the groomer over the summer, so by the time my mom gets home it's not even a debate as to whether a total "shearing" is necessary or not. I just got her welsh terrier a new sweater because, to me, she looked like she was cold. Yikes, those little sweaters are expensive! (Okay, I was in a little dog boutique.) I realized it was hopelessly indulgent, but I couldn't help my self. Isn't amazing how tiny their little bodies really are once all the fur is gone, or better yet to see them when they're wet!
BTW, I'm glad to see she sports a harness leash, it's much more comfortable for them than a collar leash, especially if they pull at all when you're out walking.

  7. Biddy, thank you! We think she's adorable too. She's very alert...won't let anyone or anything get passed our house without a ruckus.
The shearing-well, there isn't a groomer near so the vet takes care of her. That's all that he'll do! But it's fine. She does seem to get cold but that's all the more reason for her to cuddle.
I agree, doggy sweaters can be expensive! But, I'll find her a few for winter because I do see her shivering from time to time.
The harness leash is almost completely necessary because of the kids. If you saw the way Alexandra pulled on the leash, you'd be even happier! Have a nice week Biddy!
