My Sunflowers

Three days without internet,
One day with no phone (thanks OTE!) grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
two sick children,
no electric for a whole afternoon,
gloomy, rainy weather...

I'm glad that I remembered to plant sunflowers.

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do. --Helen Keller

  2. I love sunflowers; they're so happy and unique. I gave one to a friend visiting from Canada, and the room looked cheerful somehow.

  4. Phivos,

I was all summer, but at this point...Mother Nature!:)

    Kat,

I totally agree with you in thinking that sunflowers are "happy & unique". I think that they are too & that's why I made sure to plants some this year because they were missing last year. They always cheer me up.
It was so sweet of you to have a sunflower in your friend's room!

    Maria,

Would you believe me if I said that it got worse?!!! Yes. But, I still have my sunflowers:)

    Linda,

    Thank you~~
I picked up the seeds when I was in town. I also picked up seeds for the orange/red ones but didn't plant them. I surpised that they didn't stand up near the garage. I know that you're happy to just have them. :) xoxo

  7. I loved the vast fields of sunflowers in Italy. It's a beautiful sight and you can practically watch them turn their heads to face the sun.
