A local fisherman uses old chairs to keep cars from driving over his drying nets. I've passed so many times thinking that it would be interesting to photograph, so I finally did.
Phivos, You're right. I do see them mending the nets regularly. But then, they leave them out like this for a few days at a time -I guess to my non-fisherman brain...I assumed they were drying!:) Have a great day!
Perfectly practical solution for the fisherman and an interesting photo Cheryl. Yep, those chairs look as though they should be retired, but I'll have to say that I have had to sit upon chairs in that condition more times than I'd like to admit.
...fishnet on internet... any memories of "she sells seashells by the seashore"?
Cheryl, I think you might enjoy this site. Today, Oct.14th, there is a nice description of the Latina Festival at the White House, menu ,etc.
Biddy, You are so funny..."fishnet on internet" -yes it does have a ring to it!
I want to thank you for the link to that wonderful post...it is very relevant to my life and I often feel disconnected from my heritage here. Well, more than often! I loved all of the performers listed (would kill to be there!) and the food menu sounds absolutely amazing. Of course, Puerto Rican pasteles is what makes my mouth water. It's been a long, long time since I've savored one of those and they're not easy to make. Thank you so much for thinking of me and my heritage, I truly appreciate it!
Although I'm not here with the blog as much as I used to be, I'm still out taking photos of everything and now I'm addicted to Instagram...so follow ccingreece if you want to see what I'm up to!

Mucha gente entra en y sale de su vida a lo largo de los años. Pero solo los verdaderos amigos dejan huellas en su corazón...
Welcome!
I've been married to my Greek husband for 23 years and we have 3 children ages 10 & under. 6 years ago, we moved to Greece and I started this blog so that my family & friends at home could keep up with what we're doing. Remarkably, this blog has taken a life of its own and I've come to know some pretty amazing people so it's more than just a blog about my family, it's about sharing my experience with anyone that's interested in my frequent musings & photographs. Enjoy! :)

It is interesting indeed. I'm not sure though if he was trying to dry it or to fix it!
