On Tuesday, the winds changed and made a mess of everything. Signs of winter are present. I was the only one on the beach and loved it. I love listening to the sound of the waves and the wind blowing in my hair. I was wearing sandals.

On Wednesday, the winds ceased and granted us a beautiful silhouette of Mount Olympus. The sun was shining and the air crisp. I had to wear socks out of the house for the first time since spring. Last night, we fired up the furnace. I love autumn.

Gosh,you're worrying me now...
ReplyDeleteI'm still in tee shirt and shorts, flip flops by the door.Still swimming, blue skies above.
Is there something ominous on the horizon that I can't see yet??
Best get some wood in, just in case..
No worries Jude! You're in the south! And, it's not that bad today. I'm fine running around in just a sweater. But last night, however, it was cold. Enjoy your sun & swimming! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl! If you love autumn, then, start thinking about winter!!
ReplyDeletePhivos, yes...I love autumn & I can't wait for winter! Besides, it's so much more mild here than where I come from. I enjoy it:)
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, wish we had that sun and warmth. We had snow last week, somehow we went from Summer to Fall to Winter in two weeks! Soak up the sun for me.
Take care,
Angela
Hi Angela!
ReplyDeleteSnow? Brrrrrrr...I shiver at the thought of it. It's actually cool and rainy now, supposed to have a high in the mid 50's. For us, it's cold but for you it would be wonderful. I think I've been here too long! I'll think sunny thoughts for you because there won't be any soaking for a few days...at least not from the sun!!
Have a wonderful weekend Angela!!
(oh & thx for the compliment)
cheryl, can u take a photo from your balcony of mt olympus? i think it will inspire me to write a story
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Maria:) Yes...it was behind you, but unfortunately on the day that you were here...it was hidden. I'll send you one or you can look in my FB pics...I think I have an album called "my view"...
ReplyDeleteThe 3rd photo of the boat w/Mt. Olympus is a straight shot through the fields next to our home. It's lovely.
The beaches around here are starting to look a bit forlorn too. The last few evenings we started thinking about putting the heat on. Better buy some oil first!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures Cheryl. Today it was our turn in Athens. There was thunderstorm and it was raining all morning but in the afternoon the sun was shining again and the sky was blue again with a clean atmosphere. It's too early for heat here in Athens.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteFunny you mentioned it, the diesel truck was here tonight. We're set until spring. It is very chilly at night & during the day we need long sleeves & a sweater. Brrr. My friends back home (in Wisconsin) have already had snow flurries so they won't listen to me whine:)
Have a fantastic weekend Liz!
Ivy,
Thank you! It rained off & on today, but we still had chill in the wind. I live very close to the sea, so we get the cool, damp wind right off of the water. We definitely need the heat at night, especially since the children started to complain that they were cold. Hopefully, you can last another few weeks without yours.
Enjoy your weekend!
simply beautifully captured shots...lovely!
ReplyDeleteflying stars...thank you! Enjoy your Sunday!
