The chamomile is growing freely and it smells absolutely wonderful...
I've been gathering and drying bunches for tea. This year I started earlier because I didn't gather enough last year. Izabella is making sure that I don't pick flowers that have been run over by cars or slept on (or worse) by dogs. It's so funny. "Don't pick those, dogs walk here!" I wonder where she learns it.
Have nice weekend!
Oh, I did that last year...best go and find some more...thanks for reminding me!!
ReplyDeleteHow's the reversing going...these drivers drive me to distraction....!
I wish I could identify flowers and herbs! I feel like I never grew up because all I can say is "that purple-y thing" or "those yellow flowers", etc., when a lot of other people actually know what they are. And my mother was a proud member of the garden club, I know she is ashamed of me!
ReplyDelete@ Jude...You're welcome!! Reversing is going well...I'm getting really, really good at it! and these drivers have driven me to madness, not just distraction. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!! xoxo
@ Mel...I started when I was in my late 20's. I love gardening and cooking with fresh herbs. I'm always looking at the ground too, to see what I might find.
I know what it can be like to be disinterested in the things your family is doing, so you're excused from not knowing everything you mother does.
Waiting for your report at the end of the weekend!! Have fun :)
xoxo
Wow! I love the smell of chamomile. Good as tea and aroma for soap and oils.^^
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl. Your lovely posted recalled my late mom who used to collect chamomile, boil them and paint her hair blond! Thanks for remind me!! Hugs.
ReplyDelete@ Sashindoubutsu... Welcome :) Yes, the smell of chamomile is wonderful. It's so nice to walk along the beach and enjoy the scent.
